Social Cognitive Neuroscience:Approach,Research and the Future

As a interdisciplinary field of research,social cognitive neuroscience integrates social psychology and cognitive neuroscience,which aims at understanding phenomena in terms of interactions between 3 levels of analysis:the social level,cognitive level and neural level and focusing on traditional social psychological phenomena such as stereotyping,attitude and attitude change,person perception,self-knowledge and interaction between affect and cognition.By applying cognitive neuroscience approach to verifying various theories of social psychology, current researches have got advances in some areas but their leaves other areas to explore.Future work will combine the researches of unification and dissection,Bottom-Up and Top-Down,which will surely contribute to the establishing of integrative research paradigm.
