The Expression of DAPK and PTEN in cervical lesions in Uyghur Women in Xinjiang

Objective:To investigated the expression and significance of DAPK and PTEN in normal cervix,and chronic cervicitis,cervical intraepithelial neoplasiaⅠ(CINⅠ),CINⅡ/Ⅲand invasive squamous carcinoma of cervix from Uygur females in Xinjiang.Methods:30 cases with normal cervix and chronic cervicitis,30 cases with CINⅠ,30 cases with CINⅡ/Ⅲand 30 cases of cervical squamous cell carcinoma were tested for expression of DAPK and PTEN by immunohistochemistry SP method.Results:The positive rates of DAPK and PTEN protein in normal cervix and chronic cervicitis,cervical intraepithelial neoplasiaⅠ(CINⅠ),CINⅡ/Ⅲand invasive squamous carcinoma of cervix were 93.3%,83.3%,60.0%,33.3%;83.3%,73.3%,56.7%,23.3%,respectively.Both DAPK and PTEN expression in the SCC group was significantly lower than that in the other groups(P0.05).Conclusion:The expression of DAPK and PTEN protein in cervical carcinoma is low,it was negative correlated with Uygur females in cervical lesions in Xinjiang,The detection of DAPK and PTEN expression can be used as early warning signs of cervical precancerous lesions and evaluation of prognosis for cervical cancer prognosis.
