On Liu Zaifu's Research upon Lu Xun

Liu Zaifu stays in the spotlight of the academics during the new era because of his theory of character mix and theory of literary subjectivity,which has been the researching focus on Liu Zaifu. However,there is a lack of the complete understanding of the origin and the development of Liu's literary theory. In fact,Li begins his academic career with the study of Lu Xun,who influences Liu and his literary theories profoundly. Liu's research upon Lu Xun falls into three stages:the initiation in the 1970s,the perfection in the 1980s and the introspection in the 1990s. The change of Liu's attitudes toward Lu Xun well reflects the change of his academic approach.
