Abstract
Based on the datum from 1995 to 2008,this paper analyzes empirically the relationship between governmental technical investment and economic growth in Shanxi Province.The result shows that technical investment of Shanxi Province government has greatly improved the economic growth level.However,there is a big gap between the whole investment scale and that in different districts and provinces and the technical investment takes a comparative small proportion in fiscal expenditure and GDP.So,Shanxi government should take countermeasures to optimize technical investment,including perfecting pluralism technical investment system,supporting universities to enhance joint development and research and strengthening the construction of scientific and technological innovation system for civil and military use.
