Abstract
The extraction process of cottonseed protein is controlled by internal diffusion. A new kinetics equation for cottonseed protein extraction was obtained based on some modifying to the conventional unreacted core model, and the influence of temperature, particle size, time, concentration of extraction solvent on extractive kinetics were discussed. The results show that the equation fits well with experiment results which provides the theoretical basis for leaching cottonseed protein with high performance and low consumption. The apparent activity energy is 7.3 kJ/mol.
