Abstract
In this paper,considering the influence of construction,operations,checking operating conditions and canceling the expansion joint,3-dimentional finite element technique is adopted setting up the integral mechanical analyzing model of diversion penstock,and calculating the stress of each part of the diversion penstock.Main points of structural design of diversion penstock in Longkaikou Hydropower Station and some suggestions for the structural design of power intakes transition and penstock with cushion layer replacing expansion joint are given,which may be referenced by hydropower stations in the structural design of such penstocks.
