Abstract
OBJECTIVE To study the effect of YLS on myocardial ischemia reperfusion injury in rats.METHODS An experimental MIRI (Coronary artery ligation for 5 min followed by reperfusion for 30 min .) in wistar rats were used for the determination of the area of myocardial ischemia,the activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD),lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) and creatine kinase (CK),and the content of MDA in myocardium or serum following the pretreatment with YLS.RESULTS YLS could significantly decrease the content of MDA and the activity of CK and markedly reduce the area of myocardial ischemia and increase the activity of SOD ( P 0.01 or P 0.05 ).CONCLUSION YLS has a significant protective effect on myocardial ischemia reperfusion injury in rats.
