Practice and outcomes of competency-based nurse training

Objective To explore the methods and outcomes of competency-based nurse training. Methods Standardized nurse training was carried out in the hospital. The training content included systematic theory knowledge,practical training and specialized training. The training outcomes were evaluated and improved continuously by implementing strict examination system. Results Nurses' satisfaction with the training effect was 99.75%. Their theoretical knowledge,practice skills and specialized nursing abilities as well as patient satisfaction were improved significantly. Conclusion Competency-based nurse training can promote the nursing professional connotation construction,improve nurses' professional nursing abilities and skills,and ensure patient safety and quality of nursing care.
