Abstract
Objective To explore the relationship between the serum concentration of PCT and CRP in infected diseases. Methods The contents of PCT and CRP in sera from 60 bacterial infection cases,45 virus infection cases and 50 normal(control group) serum samples.The levels of PCT were detected by fluorescent quantization and CRP was detected by Immunoturbidimetry..Results The level of PCT and CRP in bacterial infection group,virus infection group and non-infection group were statistically significant difference(PCT:F=43.589,P0.05、CRP:F=23.576,P0.05).There was positive correlation between PCT and CRP in bacterial infection group(P0.05),while no correlation existed between PCT and CRP in virus infection group(P0.05).The positive rates of PCT and CRP in bacterial infection group,virus infection group and non-infection group were statistically significant difference(PCT:χ~2=58.851,χ~2=67.170,P0.05、CRP:χ~2=25.186,χ~2=27.976,P0.05).There was no significant difference in positive rates between virus infection group and non-infection group(PCT:χ~2=0.463,P0.05、CRP:χ~2=0.012,P0.05.The positive rates of PCT and CRP in bacterial infection group were significant difference(χ~2=5.288,P0.05).Conclusions The positive rates of CRP are less than PCT in bacterial infection diseases.It shows that the level detection of PCT is a good index to distinguish bacterial infection from non-bacterial infection.
