Abstract
Objective To understand the hypertension related risk factors of community residents over aged 15 in Chengde city,in order to formulate prevention and control measures against community hypertension and provide reliable basis for the prevention and control of community hypertension.Methods 3 578 residents were randomly selected from 2 communities and received inquiry investigation and physical examination.Results Among 3 565 community residents of complete data over aged 15 in Chengde city,685 suffered with hypertension,accounted for 19.21%,among whom 325 were female,accounted for 18.30% and 360 were male,accounted for 20.13%.The prevalence rate of the male was higher than that of the female,with statistically significant difference(P 0.01).The prevalence rate of hypertension increased along with the age increasing and it was significantly different between different ages.The prevalence rate of hypertension of the widowed residents was higher than that of the married residents,with extremely significant difference(P 0.01).The prevalence rates of hypertension of residents with family history,diabetes,no exercise,large mental stress and high-salt diet were higher than those of residents without these factors,with extremely significant difference(P 0.01).Conclusion The prevalence of hypertension among community residents in Chengde city is associated with the age,sex,martial status,family history,diabetes,exercise,mental factors and high-salt diet.
