Status of Hypertension in Urban Community Residents

Objective:To study the epidemic situation of hypertension in urban community residents of Yiyang city.Method:The method of cross-sectional random sampling survey was adopted,1200 cases community residents between 35-75 years of age from July to September 2012 were investigated,questionnaire survey and physical examination were taken.Result:The total prevalence of hypertension in urban community residents of Yiyang city was 30.8%,between 35-44 years of age,the prevalence rate of male was higher than female,with significant difference( P 0.05).Between 45-75 years of age,male and female prevalence rate showed no significant difference( P 0.05),and the total prevalence rate increased with age( P 0.01). Hypertension awareness,treatment rate,control rate respectively was 55.4%,30.3%,7.5%.Conclusion:The prevalence rate of hypertension of Yiyang urban residents is high,and the awareness rate,cure rate,control rate is low,we should intensify efforts to improve the situation of the prevention and treatment of hypertension.
