Abstract
Objective To investigate the prevalence and risk factors of hypertension,diabetes mellitus,coronary disease and stroke in Baizhifang community residents,in order to provide references for further development of community health service.Methods The methods were adopted as neighborhood committee issued the questionnaires to the families,community medical workers recovered the questionnaires and asked the relevant circumstances,then the data were analyzed and the family health records for community residents were established.Results Total 5 491 people participated in the survey,among which 1 220 cases of residents with hypertension,accounted for 22.22%,475 cases of residents with diabetes mellitus,accounted for 8.65%,508 cases of residents with coronary disease,accounted for 9.25%,119 cases of residents with stroke,accounted for 2.17%.The body mass index(BMI) of 24.0-27.9 were in 2 049 residents,in other word,the overweight cases were accounted for 31.32%,and the BMI of 587 cases were over 28.0,the obesity cases were accounted for 10.69%.Residents who preferred to slight salty diet were occupied 29.47%,preferred to slight oil diet were occupied 9.27%,preferred to both of them were occupied 1/3 of the total.About half of the residents seldom took exercises,or took insufficient strength of exercises.Smokers were accounted for 19.61% among all residents.Conclusion The incidence of hypertension is the highest among the chronic diseases in our community,and coronary disease,diabetes mellitus,and stroke are successively followed.Hypertension is the independent risk factor resulting in cerebral vascular disease,therefore controlling hypertension to normal range should be emphasized.It is necessary to strengthen the publicity in community and improve the health education,in order to help for early detection of hypertension.
