Abstract

ObjectiveTo observe the effect of desloratadine in the treatment of chronic idiopathic urticaria. Methods A randomized parallel-controlled clinical trial was conducted in 87 subjects,44 cases in desloratadine group, and 43 in cetirizine group. All patients took the drugs for 14 days. Results The therapeutic effective rate and cure rate of desloratadine were 84.09% and 40.91%,and those of cetirizine were 86.05% and 39.53% respectively.Their therapeutic effects showed no statistical difference between the two groups(P0.05) Conclusion It is suggested that desloratatine is an effective drug in the treatment of chronic idiopathic urticaria. Its effect is similar to that of cetirizine.
