Abstract
Objective To evaluate the therapeutic effects and safety of desloratadine on treating chronic urticaria.Methods During the two-week clinical open trial,the therapeutic effects were evaluated on 4 grade scores,and any side-effect was carefully recorded.Results The total effective rate was 90%.The results at the end of 2 weeks course was significantly better than that at the end of 1 week(P0.001).The most common side-effect was sleepiness(5.5%),which appeared within 2 days.No any heart related side-effect was recorded.Conclusion Desloratadine is an efficient and safe antihistaminic drug on treating chronic urticaria.
