Abstract

Objective To observate the clincal efficacy of rapid traction with thtee dimensions for treating patients with lumbar disc protrusion.Method A total of 100cases of patients with lumbar disc protrusion were from in-patients in our hospital.including 78men and 22women with a mean age of 42 years (rang ,20-62years and a disease duration of 2weeks to 8years. On the 3rd day after being hospitalized we performed the rapid traction with all vectors designed by computer (traction range :60 -65mm ,curve degree: 20-25°,rotation degree 20-25°,traction time :3s-1min .Results:Our results showed that the total effective rate was 93.00%after rapid traction with three dimensions and obviously higher in the disease duration under 3months than beyond 3months(96.67%vs 87.50%,P 0.01).No side-effect was found at the stage of treatment .Conclusion:Therapid traction with three dimensions is a safe and effective treatment for patients with lumbar disc protrusion, and the shorter the disease duration, the better the therapeutic effect.
