Abstract
Objective To evaluate the fluoreeogenic quantitative PCR(FQ?PCR) method for detecting Neisseria gonorrhoeae in clinical samples.Methods 80 urogenital secretion samples were identified by FQ?PCR and culture method respectively. The results were analyzed and compared.Results In 80 samples, the DNA copies of Neisseria gonorrhoeae was 3.0×10 5/ml to 6.0×10 10 /ml, with a positive rate of 37.5% (30/80) by using FQ?PCR, and 30.0% (24/80) by culture method ( P 0.005).Conclusion Compared with culture method, FQ?PCR method for detecting Neisseria gonorrhoeae is more simple, sensitive, and accurate. Its clinical significance in early diagnosis and in evaluating the effectiveness of the treatment of urogenital infections is obvious.
