The Situation and Prevention of Soil Erosion along the Tanggulha-Lhasa Section of the Qinghai-Tibet Railway

The environment along the Qinghai-Tibet Railway is very vulnerable and is in degeneracy. By the construction of the railway, the earth surface and vegetation are disarranged, resulting in environment being deteriorated. According the situation of soil erosion along the Tanggulha-Lhasa Section (one section of the Qinghai-Tibet Railway) and considering the characteristics of railway engineering, some ways of prevention of soil erosion are put forward in order to improve local environment and to keep well operation of the railway.
