A summary of study of college English teachers' professional development

Abstract

In the past ten years,education of college English teachers has changed its focus from a concern on content of courses and teaching method to teacher's professional development.Study on college English teachers' professional development has become an important part in the field of college English teaching and such study not only pays attention to the improvement of college English teachers' quality but also represents a new concept of educational value and research methodology.Much research has been committed to three aspects:content,models and ways of professional development for college English teachers.
