Abstract
Objective To observe the diagnostic value of plasma homocysteine in diabetic nephropathy.Method UAER and t-Hcy was measured in diabetic group, early diabetic nephropathy and clinical diabetic nephropathy group,as well as other risk factors information. Results The t-Hcy of early diabetic nephropathy group was significantly higher than the diabetic group, the t-Hcy of clinical diabetic nephropathy was significantly higher compared with the early diabetic nephropathy group. The t-Hcy level positively correlated with age, disease duration,HbA1C,LDL,BUN,Cr and UAER.By the area under the ROC curve analysis,t-Hcy determination can be used for the diagnosis of diabetic nephropathy. Conclusion The t-Hcy is a sensitive indicator of the diagnosis of diabetic nephropathy.
