Clinical effect observation of knee joint degenerative osteoarthropathy treated with acupuncture and moxibustion

Objective: To investigate the clinical effect of acupuncture and moxibustion treating knee joint degenerative osteoarthropathy. Methods: Eighty-six patients were in the acupuncture and moxibustion treatment group, while 35 patients in the control group were treated with the acupuncture. Results: The first and second course of treatment group the response rates were 79. 1% , 90. 0% respectively. While the total effective and response rates of the acupuncture and moxibustion treatment group were 97. 7%, 93. 0% respectively, the control group were 71. 4%, 48. 5%. The difference was significant in statistics. Conclusion: The clinical effect of the acupuncture and moxibustion is certain, the method of using is simple, and to be handled easily, it can prevent recurrence of diease.
