Clinical research on acupuncture combined with moxibustion on the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis

Objective To observe the difference of clinical effects of acupuncture,moxibustion,acupuncture combined with moxibustion.Methods 90 patients were randomly divided into acupuncture group(30 cases),moxibustion group(30 cases),and acupuncture combined with moxibustion group(30 cases).The quantitative classification of symptoms score before and after treatment was observed and recorded.Results Compared with acupuncture group,moxibustion group can significantly improve joint tenderness(P 0.05),acupuncture combined with moxibustion group can significantly improve joint swelling in patients with dual grip strength(P 0.05 or P 0.01) and pain scores;compared with moxibustion group,acupuncture group can significantly improve the range of motion(P 0.05),and acupuncture combined with moxibustion group can significantly improve the patient's primary and secondary disease,range of motion and pain scores(P 0.05);the total effective rate of acupuncture combined with moxibustion group were significantly higher than that of the acupuncture alone group and moxibustion alone group(P 0.05 or P 0.01).Conclusion Using acupuncture combined with moxibustion to treat rheumatoid arthritis had significant immunomodulatory effect,and can improve the physiological function of the damaged joints,with accurate clinical curative effect.
