Abstract
Objective:To study the differential expression of the VEGF and VEGF-R in normal and preeclampsia placenta. Methods:Determine the level of the VEGF,VEGF-R1 and VEGF-R2 mRNA in the placenta of normal and preeclampsia pregnancy by Real Time RT-PCR.Results:All of the gene of VEGF,VEGF-R1 and VEGF-R2 at the level of transcription were compared in both normal and preeclampsia placenta, while the mRNA levels of the total VEGF and VEGFR-1 were increased 2.82-and 2.67-fold(P0.05),respectively,in PE vs normal placentas. The change of VEGF-R2 mRNA level was not significant. Conclusion:VEGF may play a role in the mechanism of preeclampsia through the VEGFR-1.
