Abstract

Objective To develop a new method for determining the concentration of serum creatinine using micellar electrokinetic capillary chromatography (MECC). Metkods The MECC was used with pH7. 2, 120 mmol/LSDS, 30 mmol/L phosphate buffer, with 21 cm ×50 μm ID. fused-silica uncoated capillary. The sample wasan UV-detector at 235 nm with creatinine as external standard. The running voltage wa 10kV. Results Thismethod was linear in range of 27. 65~7080 μmol/L with the detection limit of 9. 19 μmol/L. The recovery ratewas between 99. 8% to 105. 5 K. The within-run CV and between-run CV were less than 3. 0% and 3. 6%,respectively. Endogenous compounds and 10 commonly used drugs show no interference with this chromatographicprocedure. Conclusions The MECCmethod is a new, simple, rapid method for determination of serum creatinine.
