The operative treatment of traumatic cataract.

Objective To study the best timing and operative methods in traumatic cataract. Methods 87 cases of traumatic cataract were divided into A, B, C 3 groups by operative time. We performd cataract extraction with different time after trauma and vis- ual acuity was recorded.Results The best correct visual acuity was improved followed up 6 months. The visual acuity was 0.32 - 0.44. No obvious complication was found in all cases, but one en- dophthalmitis. Conclusions Timing and operatve methods is very important in patients with traumatic cataract. The effect is good.
