On the Organic Linking-up of the Two "30 Years"——MAO Ze-dong and the Theory and Practice of Building Socialism with Chinese Characteristics

The sixty years since the founding of New China is divided into two thirty years by the Third Plenary Session of the l1th CPC Central Committee. The focus of our work was class struggle,whose logic was revolution during the thirty years before the Third Plenary Session of the l1th CPC Central Committee. The focus of our work has been shifted to economic development,whose logic is development during the thirty years since the Third Plenary Session of the l1th CPC Central Committee. The logic of revolution and that of development is interlinked,reflecting the course that CPC leaders,represented by Mao Zedong and Deng Xiaoping,led Chinese people to build socialism. Drawing lessons from the mistakes Mao made in his later years is the vital nexus between the two ages. Our Party has preserved in advancing along the road to socialism with Chinese characteristics since the Third Plenary Session of the l1th CPC Central Committee,having developed the theory system of socialism with Chinese characteristics,because our Party has reviewed its past experience and lessons of the thirty years since the founding of New China,especially,the lessons from cultural revolution.
