Abstract

The morphological transformation occurred steadily in Syrian hamster embryo (SHE) cell treated with cyclophosphamide (CP) at 37.5, 75, and 150 mg·L~(-1) respectively. There was a weak correlation between dose and the rate of transformation. The biological characteristics of two cell strains derived from different batch of experiments had identified. The results showed that the two cell strains still had strong division and proliferation ability at the 65th and 99th generation respectively and they could also grow well in low serum medium and greatly decreased the dependence upon fibroblast growth factor. It was also found that agglutination happened when the both of two cell strains were treated with phytoagglutinin (PHA).
