Abstract

Merchants of Shanxi province made brilliant achievements in the economical history of China during Ming and Qing dynasty. With the development of economy, the merchants' family educational system experience different stages: educated for business; educated for politics; educated for business. There were some inherent reasons for the cycle of the educational system.
