Endoscopic surgery for deviation of nasal septum with three lines tension relaxing correction

OBJECTIVE To explore the surgical methods and the clinical therapeutic effects of three lines tension relaxing correction for deviation of nasal septum.METHODS The clinical data of 156 patients who underwent endoscopic surgery for deviation of nasal septum with three line tension relaxing correction during Jan,2009 to Aug,2011(age from 14 to 64 years old) were retrospectively studied.First cut a Killian incision at the junction of the skin and mucous membrances on the left side of the nasal septum under endoscopy,then separated the nasal septum cartilage from the angle formed by two greater alar cartilages,perpendicular plate of the ethmoid bone,and the junction of vomer and maxilla at the nasal crest,this procedure was applied to correct diviation of nasal septum by releasing tension,which was named three lines tension relaxing correction.RESULTS Follow up was carried out for 3 to 24 months after endoscopic septoplasty surgery.There were 134 cases cured and 22 cases improved.CONCLUSIONWith advantages of less invasion and fewer complications,the endoscopic surgery for deviation of nasal septum with three lines tension relaxing correction is an easy and efficient method,and is worthy of popularizing.
