Clinical analysis on cases of ovarian neoplasms in female children and adolescents

【Objective】To analyze the clinical characteristics,diagnosis and treatment of ovarian neoplasm in female children and adolescents.【Methods】The clinical materials of 39 cases ovarian neoplasm in female children and adolescents were analyzed.The materials included ages,clinical presentation,accessory examination and treatment.【Results】Among 39 patients,malignant tumor,borderline tumor and benign tumor were 76.9%,10.3% and 12.8%.Among 39 cases,germ cell tumor,epithelial ovarian tumor and sex cord stromal tumor were 69.2%,25.6% and 5.2%.All patients were received surgery.Surgery that retained reproductive function were carried out on germ cell tumor patients.Radical surgery were carried out on ovarian cancer tumor.Five cases of ovarian benign neoplasms and four cases of ovarian borderline neoplasms resume well without recurred.Among 30 cases of malignant ovarian neoplasm,23 were following up and alive.【Conclusions】A great parts of ovarian neoplasms in female children and adolescents were malignant neoplasms.Germ cell tumors were major ovarian neoplasms.Surgery should be the first selected for the treatment of female children and adolescents.Conservative surgery could be carried out onpatients of germ cell tumor.Conditions were very strict on patients of ovearian cancer who wanted to retain reproductive function.
