Method:78 patients were assigned to bisprone group (n=38) and alprazolam group (n=40) respectively for 6 weeks. The efficacy and side effects were evaluated by HAMA and TESS before and after 1, 2,3,4 and 6 weeks. Results:The efficacy of bisprone and alprazolam had no significant difference, but bisprone had fewer side effects. Conclusion:Bisprone is an effective and safe medicine in the treatment of generalized anxiety disorder.
