Abstract
Objective:To investigate the local status of drug resistance of mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTb), and to analyse its trend. Methods:From 2002 to 2004, 394 cases of pulmonary tuberculosis with culture positive from Baoan district were enrolled in the study. Identification(inoculated in PNB and TCH) and susceptibility(absolute concentration method for INH ,SM, RFP, EMB and OFL ) tests were done in all cases. And control group (inoculated in culture medium without any drug)was set up.Results:79.53% MTb had drug resistance and the multi-drug resistance rate was 31.5% in 2002. 76.4% MTb had drug resistance and the multi-drug resistance rate was 27.94% in 2003. 71.75% MTb had drug resistance and the multi-drug resistance rate was 25.95% in 2004.Conclusion:Local drug resistance rate of MTb is higher than the average level of the whole country. And it might decline slowly.
