Abstract
OBJECTIVE To understand the change of drug resistance of Mycobacterium tuberculosis(MTB)isolated from Jinhua districtduring the past four years so as to provide theoretical basis for clinical reasonable use of antituberculosis drugs.METHODS A retrospective analysis was performed to analyze the rate of drug resistance of MTB in 2391 sputum specimens in the hospital between Jan 1st 2008 and Dec 31st 2011 by modified L-J culture method.Eight types of drugs susceptibility testing were performed through absolute concentration method.RESULTS Totally 821 strains of MTB were detected in 2391sputum specimens(34.3%).Among these strains, drug resistance of 8 type anti-tuberculosis drugs was totally detectable in 568 strains (69.2%).Among 8 types of anti-tuberculosis drug, the mono-resistance rate was 29.4% (241 strains),the poly-resistance rate was 28.5 %(234 strains) and the multidrug rate resistance was 11.3 % (93 strains). The multi-drug resistance was significantly decreasing (P0.05) while the mono-resistance rate was increasing(P0.05) during this period. The drug resistance rates to SM and RFP were decreased during four years period (P0.05),while the drug resistance rates to EMB and PTH were decreased more apparently (P0.01).CONCLUSION The drug resistance of MTB is still very serious in Jinhua district, the Directly Observed Therapy Short-course(DOTS)should be strictly carried out,and anti-tuberculosis drugs should be limited for patients without tuberculosis.
