Abstract

Objective To understand the situation of drug resistant Mycobacterium tuberculosis in Mianyang, provide evidence for tuberculosis control. Methods Scaling method was applied to test the drug resistant of isoniazide(INH),rifampicin(RFP),streptomycin(SM),and ethambutol(EMB) for 79 strains of Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Results Totally 17 drug resistant Mycobacterium tuberculosis strains were detected. The total drug resistance rate,poly-resistance rate and multi-drug resistance rate was 21.52%,12.66% and 6.33% respectively. The initial drug-resistance rate and the acquired drug-resistance rate was 18.64% and 30.00% respectively. The sequence of single drug-resistance was INHSMRFPEMB,the drug-resistance rate was 15.19%,12.66%,7.59% and 7.14% respectively. There was no statistical significance in sex groups and age groups. Conclusion The local drug-resistance rate of Mycobacterium tuberculosis in Mianyang was lower than the national average level. It is suggested that drug-resistance mornitoring should be strengthened for guiding reasonable clinical prescription.
