Abstract

Objective The clinical value of detecting brain natriuretic peptide(BNP) of acute myocardial infarction patients early in evaluating the prognosis of late infarction. Methods Measured the BNP concentrations and left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF) of acute myocardial infarction patients in acute phase and convalescece.Divided the Patients into LVEF≤40% group and LVEF40% group, death group and non-death group.Contrasted the BNP concentrations of these groups. Results the BNP concentrations of LVEF≤40% group and death group was significantly higher than that of LVEF40% group and non-death group. Conclusion The BNP concentrations of acute myocardial infarction patients could be used as sensitive indicators in evaluating short-term prognosis after infarction and had certain clinical value.
