Abstract
Through analysing the run-up speed and the results of some excellent sportsmen,a theory is advanced that the running speed is a decisive factor for long jump.It also analyses the stage variations in speed and the relations between the run-up speed and the results,we know the run-up speed is not the quickest speed of sportmen in long jump.
