Abstract

In this paper, the function corresponding with definite solution is established to solve the problem of non-stationary seepage flow when the water-lever of reservoir upstream varies continuously. Then the process of non-stationary seepage regarding the variable free seepage surface as making up flow quantity boundary is simulated and the finite element method is used to determine the free surface and equi-potential line of various time interval. Based on the seepage analysis, the stability of earth dam slope is analyzed, the most dangerous slop circle is searched by BISHOP method. Finally, some significance conclusions are drawn through the calculation result of the example.
