Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of trabeculectomy under the keeping of anterior chamber. Methods 77 eyes(77 patients) with primary angle-closure glaucoma were divided into two groups:41 eyes(32 patients) treated by normal trabeculectomy after being infused sodium hyaluronate into anterior chamber,47 eyes (45 patients) underwent normal trabeculectomy were used as control. Results The percentage of shallow anterior chamber was 12.20%(4/41) in the group with sodium hyaluronate and 31.91%(15/47) in normal trabeculectomy. There was significant difference between two groups( P0.05) .The successful rate of operation was 97.56%(40/41) in the group with sodium hyaluronate and 89.36%(42/47) in the group of normal trabeculectomy respectively,no significant difference between two groups( P 0.05) . Conclusion Trabeculectomy under keeping anterior chamber may decrease the occurrence of postoperative shallow anterior chamber.
