Study on Impact Factors and Characteristic of Cultivated Land Resources' Utilization Benefit in Henan Province

The analysis and assessment of the cultivated land resources' utilization benefit are greatly important to ensure the national food security and to improve the cultivated land resources' use efficiency.This study creates the cultivated land resources' utilization benefit index(system),and adopts the principal component analysis to analyze the influencing factors and the trend of the cultivated land resources' utilization benefit of 18 cities in Henan Province in 1999,2002,2005 and 2008 by using SPSS and GIS.The results show that: ① In Henan Province,during 1999-2008,the size of cultivated land area remained stable,but the cultivated land use overall benefit has been increased and its characteristic distribution has changed from high in the North of China,low in the South of China to high in the East of China and low in the West of China.② According to the analysis of the influencing factors of cultivated land resources' utilization benefit,within ten years time,the cultivated land utilization benefit was mainly affected by the society's economics conditions.The main factors affecting food production(units) by the amount of chemical fertilizer using has gradually transformed into the quantity and quality of cultivated land agricultural labor per unit.The increase of multiple crop index is the most effective way to expand the crop sown area,to explore the cultivated land potential and to increase crop total output.The input of agricultural machinery power and the increase of the agricultural mechanization play the important roles in promoting the cultivated land use efficiency.The raise of the proportion of investment in agriculture helps to improve the efficiency of land cultivation and to increase the food production.Based on the comprehensive evaluation analysis,this papers attempts to provide some countermeasures and suggestions to increase cultivated land resources' utilization benefit and to use cultivated land more rationally for Henan Province.
