Abstract

Exploration for descent motivation of VP+zai+L construction in a diachronic way determines that its basic type is existing event and its basic meaning is the subject of existence lies in a certain place in a certain way.Verb and construction interact with each other and relations can be examples,premises,methods and results for semantic integration.Such an integration sharing more than one participant is an interaction between verb and its construction and basic reason for polysemy of VP+zai+L.
