Abstract

The paper aims to analyze the syntactic features and grammaticalization of in Modern Chinese.First,we demonstrates that NL belongs to VO phrase,V is a VC phrase,NL is the locative object and zai belongs to clitics.Then,the paper describes the syncretizing course of V and zai in Modern Chinese.
