Abstract
Objective To observe the expression of GBR1a mRNA in hippocampus of epilepsy rats.Methods Epilepsy rat models were made by injecting kainic acid into amygdala under stereotactic instrument.50 male Wistar rats were divided randomly into 5 groups:(1)The false operation group;(2~5)Epilepsy group. GBR1a mRNA of brain tissue was tested with the method of in situ hybridization.Results In the normal group,GBR1a mRNA positive cells distributed rarely in hippocampus.GBR1a mRNA positive cells of epilepsy groups were significantly more in hippocampus CA 1,CA 3 and dentate gyrus( P 0.01).Conclusion GBR1a mRNA expresses in rat hippocampus in different degree.It can be up-regulated in epilepsy rats.
