Abstract
Jieyou 8 is a new three-line indica hybrid rice combination from restorer line Jiehui 1 and the CMS line J8A.The combination has the characteristics of strong disease resistance,excellent rice quality,good integrated traits,wide adaptability,tidy plant,stability and high and stable yield.In the 2005—2006 regional test of Chongqing,its average yield was 8 598.15 kg/hm2,and the yield was 6.79% higher than II you 838(CK).It was approved by the Chongqing Crop Variety Approval in 2007(Yu 2007004 Rice Trial) and was introduced by the Guizhou Crop Variety Approval in 2008(Qian 2008011 Rice Trial).The combination can be planted as medium rice in rice regions and the same ecological areas with an elevation of less than 800 m.
