Observation of Huangqihuxin capsule on the treatment of chronic congestive heart failure

Abstract
Objective To observe clinical effect of Huangqihuxin capsule in treating chronic heart failure(CHF) and the improvement of life quality with CHF patients.Methods 96 patients with CHF were randomly divided into two groups.46 patients in control group were treated by routine treatment of western medicine.50 patients in treatment group were treated by combination of routine therapy and Huangqihuxin capsule,5 pills,thrice a day.The course was 30 days in two groups.The changes of overall curative effect and heart function of CHF patients were observed.Results The total effective rate was 92.0% in treatment group and 76.1% in control group.There was difference between two groups on total effective rate(P0.05).The improvement of heart function including cardiac output(CO),stroke volume(SV),LVEF and A/E ratio in treatment group were superior to those in the control group(P0.05).Conclusion Huangqihuxin capsule was a safe and effective on the treatment of chronic heart failure.
