Therapeutic effects of Bisolol on chronic congestive heart failure

Objective To investigate the therapeutic effects of Bisolol on chronic congestive heart failure(CHF).Methods 56 patients with CHF were randomly divided into treatment group and control group.The patients in control group received routine treatment including angiontension converting enzyme inhibitors(ACEI),diuretic and digitora,ect.The patients in treatment group were added with Bisolol 2.5mg once a day,and increasing dosage gradually with the maximum of 10mg once a day on the basis of the routine treatment.The changes of heart rate,blood pressure,cadiac function were observed before and after treatment.Results The total effective rate in treatment group was 92.9%,but 75.0% in control group.There was a significant difference between two groups(P0.05).There were significant differences in heart rate,improvement of cardiac function between two groups after treatment(P0.01 or P0.05).Conclusions Bisolol can increase the therapeutic effect on patients with CHF.
