Abstract
Objective To compare the electrochemical luminescence assay and enzyme linked immunosorbent assay in determination of hepatitis B surface antibody(HBsAb). Methods the serum of 180 patients were tested for hepatitis B surface antibody(HBsAb) with ECLIA and ELISA, in which chemiluminescence analyzer and assay kit from Roche were applied. Results When HBsAb concentration was above 100 IU / L, the positive results of ELISA method were basically consistent with ECLIA method for the quantitative results, and the positive rate was more than 95.8%; when the concentration of HBsAb was 10.1~100.0 IU / L, the positive rate of ELISA was 21.2%. Conclusion Compared with ECLIA, the method of ELISA exhibit lower sensitivity but higher specificity. ECLIA can greatly improve the sensitivity in HBsAb detection.
