Abstract
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of compound Glycyrrhizin combined with Acitretin for generalized pustular psoriasis(GPP).Methods Ninety GPP patients were randomized to treatemnt group and control group. For patients in the treatment group were treated with Acitretin capsule(0.75 mg·kg-1·d-1),the maximal dose was not over 75 mg/d,the dose was gradually decreased to 10-20 mg/d,and maintained. At the same time, compound Glycyrrhizin powder dissolved in50 g/L glucose or 250 mL of normal saline was offered intravenously. For those in the control group, oral Acitretin only was gi-ven.The efficacy was assessed after eight weeks of therapy. Results In the treatment group, two patients developed mild edema of both lower extremities, three appeared kaliopenia;those in the control group, three appeared higher aminopherase, and two did not response to Acitretin. The effect of therapy is different between the two groups(Uc=2.32,P0.05).ConclusionCompound Glycyrrhizin combined with Acitretin is effective for GPP,whiuch can also reduce the side effects of Acitretin.
