An Investigation into the Current Teacher Training for Special Education in Beijing

This study,by using questionnaires,aims to investigate into the current teacher training in the schools for special education in Beijing.The results show the following: The quantity,quality and structure of the special education teachers are significantly more satisfying in Beijing than across the country on average;however,the low professional quality,the unreasonable curriculum for pre-service education,and the lack of customized in-service training still exist in Beijing.In view of this,this article gives suggestions on the further improvement of the system of teacher cultivation: reforming the curriculum in colleges and universities,establishing a sound system of teacher recruitment,a perfect system of pre-service training,and a professional system of in-service training.
