Abstract

Nominalization metahpor is the main form of grammatical metaphor,but the present research pay much attention to its types and functions,overlooking the cognitive manner and forms of coherence created by nominalization metaphor.This paper analyzes three modes of coherence realized by nominalization metaphor by way of Cognitive Reference Point Principle,providing a new angle for similar study.
