An Analysis on Nominalization Metaphor and Its Textual Function

Abstract

According to systemic-functional grammar,nominalization is an important source from which grammatical metaphor derives.Starting from the concept of nominalization,this paper will discuss types and features of nominalization based on a great number of true examples,and analyze its kinds of functions in constructing texts.Grasp of nominalization metaphor has greatly instructional significance to the understanding and application of texts.
