Abstract
Objective: To study the chemical constituents in the Gonostegia hirta. Method: The constituents were isolated by column chromatography and their structures were elucidated by physicochemical properties and spectroscopic analysis. Result: Nine compounds were isolated from the plant and identified as β-sitosterol( 1),β-daucosteol( 2),sucrose( 3),epifriedelanol( 4),friedelin( 5),friedlane( 6),oleanolic acid( 7),pomolic acid( 8),hederagenin( 9). Conclusion: All the compounds are obtained from this plant for the first time.
